Senior Marketing & Content Manager, Quantitative Sciences

The Senior Marketing and Content  Manager will successfully plan, develop, and implement MetrumRG’s marketing and content strategies with a focus in our Quantitative Sciences (QS) unit. This role will work in close partnership with leadership, subject matter experts (SMEs), and other commercial team members to build upon the company’s reputation and brand.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing
    • Develop and implement overall marketing strategy for QS service offerings within the guidelines of the mission of the company
    • Manage and maintain company website
      • Ensure site is working properly and content is up to date
      • Lead redesign/refresh project
      • Oversee website vendor activities
      • Develop opportunities for improved UX, SEO, website architecture, indexing, ranking, clickthroughs, and conversions
    • Develop and execute data-driven online and email campaigns, optimizing performance through A/B testing, segmentation, and audience insights.
    • Develop and maintain assets such as capabilities presentations, client testimonials and endorsements
    • Work closely with the QS Business Development team to ensure marketing activities are aligned with sales strategies and objectives
      • Design and execute lead generation strategies to drive awareness, engagement, and new client opportunities across service lines
      • Collaborate with QS Business Development to maintain engagement plans for priority accounts
      • Develop account based marketing (ABM) tactics to support strategic outreach to high-value targets
      • Partner with QS Business Development to define, track, and optimize the marketing pipeline, including MQLs and conversion rates
    • Work with other commercial team members (including TechSolutions) to develop comprehensive brand strategies that align with the company’s business objectives, ensuring MetrumRG branding is consistent across all channels and media
    • Serve as internal CRM (Hubspot) expert
    • Build and maintain CRM workflow and pipeline architecture for QS unit
    • Identify/assess target markets and build strategies to reach each market
    • Evaluate competitive climate and position appropriately in global context
    • Work with the external design team to develop logos, graphics, webpages, etc
    • Manage and maintain annual company marketing budget
    • Manage MetrumRG company-wide internal and external social media policy and brand style guide
    • Assess pricing/profit model in collaboration with the QS Business Development team
    • Identify opportunities to cross-sell services/products with TechSolutions
    • As needed, coordinate with external PR agency to extend reach and gain additional press coverage of MetrumRG’s social impact and thought leadership
    • Design an appropriate mix of paid, owned, and earned media coverage
    • Manage social media accounts, company newsletters, blog, etc
      • Manage LinkedIn strategy to elevate visibility and attract attention from key contacts in target organizations
    • Represent MetrumRG at key tradeshows and conferences (attend in person)
      • Plan and manage all onsite conference exhibits, sponsorship, and branding activities
      • Manage conference presentation tracking & promotion
      • Coordinate events (ex. invite only roundtables) at scientific and industry conferences
    • Work with commercial team members on the creation of collateral for product marketing (testimonials, explainer videos, etc)
    • Establish a formal feedback process, including measurable data points to aid in company decision making
      • Track engagement metrics across content, email, and events to inform future strategies
  • Content development and strategy
    • Develop compelling written content across multiple channels including blog posts, social media, email campaigns, website copy, and marketing collateral that aligns with brand voice and marketing objectives
      • Manage full content creation process from ideation to publication and performance tracking
    • Partner with SMEs (scientists and thought leaders) across MetrumRG to shape and execute a thought leadership strategy—identifying emerging industry trends, surfacing internal expertise, and developing timely, high-impact content for the website, social media, and industry publications that reinforces MetrumRG’s leadership in decision informatics
    • Collaborate with SMEs to create integrated content strategies that support lead generation and customer engagement goals
    • Plan campaigns and themed thought leadership series to nurture relationships with key stakeholders
    • Research industry trends, competitor content, and target audience preferences to inform content creation and ensure relevance and competitive positioning
    • Optimize content for SEO by conducting keyword research, implementing best practices, and analyzing performance metrics to improve search visibility and organic traffic
    • Manage content calendars and editorial schedules to ensure consistent publishing cadence and timely delivery of marketing campaigns
    • Edit and proofread content for accuracy, clarity, and brand consistency while maintaining high editorial standards across all deliverables
  • Internal communications
    • Establish and maintain an internal communications strategy including weekly company memos and all-staff meeting presentation slides
    • Work with executive leadership to build collateral around organizational initiatives to ensure they are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders
    • Plan, write, and edit content for a variety of internal communications media
    • Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external communication
    • Respond to feedback from staff and adjust communications content accordingly

Requirements, Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in the use of
    • CRM tools (Hubspot)
    • CMS platforms for websites (Hubspot, WordPress)
    • Social media outlets (LinkedIn, Twitter)
  • Strong writing and editing skills with portfolio demonstrating ability to create engaging content for diverse audiences and formats
  • Understanding of SEO principles, keyword research tools, and content optimization techniques to drive organic search performance
  • Outstanding organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated evidence of working with others to complete team-level tasks.
  • Experience and expertise in marketing strategy and implementation.
  • Experience with graphic design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite for creating visual content and basic design elements
  • Knowledge of marketing automation platforms and email marketing best practices to support integrated campaign development
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools to measure content performance and provide actionable insights for optimization
  • Advertising experience, including print and digital.
  • Superior client and customer service skills.

Education and Experience

  • 8-10 years experience in a marketing role (Life Science, Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry preferred)
  • 4-year degree or higher in communications, marketing, business, or related field or equivalent experience

Physical Demands

The job frequently requires working at a computer terminal, standing or sitting, and the ability to operate the computer with proficiency.

Work Environment (remote, work from home)
